Consultation Caravan for the Dumagat Community

On August 20, 2024, a remarkable event took place that showcased the spirit of unity and compassion as various organizations came together to serve our indigenous brothers and sisters from the Dumagat community. The Consultation Caravan, organized by the Rotary Club of San Jose Del Monte Central in cooperation with PhilHealth and Brigino General Hospital, was a meaningful day dedicated to providing much-needed healthcare and essential support to the Dumagat people.

A Day of Health and Wellness

The Consultation Caravan was a significant initiative aimed at addressing the healthcare needs of the Dumagat community. Through this event, they were able to receive free medical consultations, which allowed them to access vital health services that might otherwise be out of reach. Doctors and healthcare professionals from Brigino General Hospital, along with representatives from PhilHealth, provided their expertise to ensure that the community members were given proper medical attention and guidance.

Handog ng Maria Maria, an organization deeply committed to supporting the Dumagat community, was proud to participate in this noble cause. It was truly heartening to see the smiles on their faces and to witness the positive impact of the caravan on their well-being.

Providing More Than Just Medical Care

The Consultation Caravan went beyond just medical services. The Dumagat community also received essential goods, such as rice and other basic necessities, that will help support their daily lives. This holistic approach to assistance was made possible through the collaborative efforts of everyone involved, ensuring that the day was not only about addressing health concerns but also about providing overall care and support.
